Iconic soap opera star Anthony Geary passed away on Dec. 14 at the age of 78. He is survived by his husband, Claudio Gama. Gama first shared the news with TV Insider, offering the following statement.

Luke and Laura remained on the series for years after their onscreen romance faded out, both becoming long-tenured cast members on the soap. Others from the show also spoke out, with Sarah Joy Brown (Carly Corinthos) also writing on X:

John Stamos paid tribute to both Anthony Geary and Rob Reiner after both the actors died on Dec. 14 at age 78. Geary died following complications from an operation, while Rob and his wife were killed by their son Nick.
