The Blue Jays may have just gotten a massive boost after reaching their first World Series in 32 years. Shortly after beating the Mariners in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series Monday night, All-Star shortstop Bo Bichette said he plans to be active for Toronto's matchup with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Bichette had a great year at the plate but his regular season was unceremoniously ended in a collision with Yankees catcher Austin Wells in early September. Bichette suffered a sprained posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and hasn’t played since.

The New York Yankees will be in the market for a shortstop with Anthony Volpe injured, but it's unlikely to be Bo Bichette.

Bo Bichette has no intention of missing his first chance to play in the World Series. The Toronto shortstop, sidelined for the past six weeks due to a sprained left knee, expects to be on the roster when the Blue Jays host the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the Fall Classic on Friday.

There’s still hope that shortstop Bo Bichette can join the Toronto Blue Jays this post-season if they win Game 7 of the ALCS and advance to the World Series.
