Two teams from the East Coast are reportedly the favorites to land Bo Bichette as a return to Toronto becomes more unlikely.

Bo Bichette’s market has been unusually quiet for a player of his profile, and that silence is becoming harder to ignore. Despite being mentioned by multiple insiders as a potential impact target at shortstop, there has been little visible movement around Bichette, even as teams around him continue to make decisions.

The Toronto Blue Jays made an under the radar move recently while getting potential bad news on Bo Bichette & Kyle Tucker.

The Blue Jays are looking to sign Munetaka Murakami even though they Bo Bichette is still available in the free agent market.

Former Braves outfielder and current broadcaster Jeff Francoeur echoed that sentiment on Thursday, noting that he wants to see the club add more offense at shortstop. He specifically mentioned free agent Bo Bichette as a player who could significantly improve Atlanta’s offense.

The Atlanta Braves are having themselves a quality offseason thus far. Atlanta has made two meaningful free-agent signings in Robert Suarez and Mike Yastrzemski. They are also bringing back Raisel Iglesias on a $16 million deal.

If such a scenario were to occur, analyst Jon Morosi of MLB.com is of the opinion that former Blue Jays excecutive Alex Anthopoulos, now the Atlanta Braves' general manager, may try to sign Bichette. Valued at $3 billion, the Braves are the eighth-most valuable franchise in the major leagues, per Forbes.
