A plane crashed early Thursday at Statesville Regional Airport, killing seven people, including NASCAR star Greg Biffle, his wife and two children, and three other people. A private Cessna jet crashed and caught fire at a North Carolina airport, killing multiple people, authorities said.

Greg Biffle's wife, Cristina Grossu posted a message on Instagram after their family died in a horrific plane crash.

A flight tracking platform says the flight was to include stops in Florida but a same-day return to North Carolina.
