Cher is getting both slammed and praised for allegedly lip-syncing her way through her 'Saturday Night Live' performance: 'Lip-sync if you want, Queen!'
It only took a mere 40 years, but Cher finally returned to Studio 8H. The icon graced the “Saturday Night Live” stage as the musical guest Dec. 20, also the show’s final episode of the year. In a blond wig and pastiche of kitschy pants and a leather jacket, Cher, 79, performed her 2023 holiday song, “DJ Play A Christmas Song.”
A meme showed alleged quotes from the pair, including one with the famous singer telling the White House press secretary, "Sweetheart, take a seat."
“Cher, killing it at 79,” another quipped. “Idc [I don’t care] about her lip syncing, it’s late, she’s 80, she just wants to have some fun,” one watcher wrote in the YouTube c omments.
Cher is being called out by fans for lip syncing during her SNL performance on December 20, but many are coming to her defense.
Cher’s second performance was of “Run Rudolph Run,” written by Chuck Berry in 1958 and credited to Marvin Brodie and Christmas songwriter Johnny Marks for having trademarked the Rudolph character.
