Set to hit theaters Aug. 29, Caught Stealing was helmed by Aronofsky from a script by Charlie Huston, who wrote the books on which the movie is based. The film stars Butler as Hank Thompson, a down-on-his-luck former baseball player who is suddenly immersed in the New York City crime underworld in the 1990s.

Sony has given the Aug. 29 release date originally set for “Insidious 6” to Darren Aronofsky’s crime thriller “Caught Stealing” starring Austin Butler and pushed the premiere of the horror sequel back to Aug.
