It sounds as though Thatcher Demko's only issue with his Vancouver Canucks extension is that it isn't even longer.

Thatcher Demko and Conor Garland each signed a contract with the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday. Demko, a goalie, signed a three-year, $25.5 million contract ($8.5 million average annual value); Garland, a forward, signed a six-year, $36 million contract ($6 million AAV). Each begins with the 2026-27 season.

The Canucks have reached long-term contract extensions with both Thatcher Demko and Conor Garland ahead of free agency.
