According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jets have requested to interview the likes of Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores and quarterbacks coach Josh McCown for the job: Jets have requested head coaching interviews with Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores and QB coach Josh McCown, per sources.

A big part of Saleh's struggles with the Jets came from his inability to find solutions at the quarterback position, as well as offensive coordinator. New York never finished with an offense that was ranked over the bottom third of the league in any year led by Saleh.

There are 12 candidates and counting that have been reported to have already interviewed or have interviews on the books with the Jets as of Monday afternoon. Mike Vrabel, who most recently was the head coach of the Tennessee Titans from 2018-23, had reportedly a positive interview in New York.
