TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — As of 11:20 a.m. on Saturday, Hurricane Erin has strengthened to a Category 5 storm, NHC said. Erin has been rapidly strengthening and is expected to continue to do so. The storm strengthened from a Category 3 to a Category 5 in just a few hours Saturday morning.
Erin has intensified to a Category Five Hurricane as it makes its way toward the East Coast of the United States.
