Met Eireann issued a series of Red Weather Warnings for all of Ireland that came into effect at various times through Friday morning. Red Weather Warnings are extremely dangerous and destructive and pose a danger to life. Record wind speeds have been recorded from Storm Eoghan and already over 500,000 homes in Ireland are without power.

Met Éireann have asked people to stay at home as winds have not reached their strongest speeds. Met Éireann Senior Forecaster Gerry Murphy said on RTÉ's Morning Ireland: "People should not be out this morning.

As of 9am on Thursday, there are eight Red Weather Warnings in place from Met Eireann. There is also a Status Orange Wind Warning for all of Ireland from midnight until 4pm tomorrow. The Status Red Weather Warnings are as follows.
