Pakistan may have lost their test series in South Africa 2-0, but captain Shan Masood saw enough from his side to believe there are better days ahead as they held their own for long periods in challenging conditions.

Pakistan captain Shan Masood continued to defy South Africa as the tourists cut down the deficit to 109 runs on the fourth day of the second and final test.

Since beating the West Indies by 40 runs at Providence last August, South Africa has achieved 2-0 series wins against Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan and qualified for its first World Test Champion
