Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik has been sentenced to one year in prison for defying the rulings of the top international official overseeing peace in the Balkan country.

A court in Bosnia on Wednesday sentenced the pro-Russia Bosnian Serb president, Milorad Dodik, to one year in prison and banned him from politics for six years over his separatist actions as tensions mount in the fragile Balkan state.
