A URORA, ILL. – Texas House Democrats who fled the state to block GOP redistricting have been very open about their effort, holding press conferences in Chicago and Albany, making the rounds on cable news programs and posting videos about their motivations on social media.

Texas House Democrats flee the state to delay a Republican-driven redistricting plan. A vote on a bill is scheduled for Monday.

Democrats have left Texas for a second time in four years in an effort to block a vote by denying the legislature a quorum.
