The Rebels are already back to work preparing for their next opponent in the College Football Playoff, No. 3 Georgia.
The status of Ole Miss All-American tailback Kewan Lacy is in question after he left the Rebels’ first-round playoff game against Tulane holding his left shoulder. Ole Miss coach Pete Golding reportedly said after the game Lacy has a “bruised shoulder” and will undergo further evaluation.
For the first time, the Sugar Bowl will pit two SEC teams against each other when No. 3 seed Georgia plays No. 6 Ole Miss in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals on New Year’s Day. Ole Miss beat Tulane in the first round to set up the matchup.
OXFORD, Ms. (WVUE) - Tulane will make its first College Football Playoff appearance Saturday when the Green Wave faces Ole Miss in a rematch from earlier this season. Both teams are making their playoff debuts. The winner advances to face Georgia in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.
