Xcel Energy is warning customers in Colorado that power may be shut off on Wednesday as extreme winds and dry conditions create dangerous wildfire risk.

Xcel Energy on Tuesday morning told Front Range customers to be prepared for outages on Wednesday as strong winds hit the area, and said power shutoffs are likely to happen.
