Trailing 28-21 early in the third quarter, Alabama outscored the Tigers 21-0 after touchdown runs from Roydell Williams, Jalen Milroe and Jase McClellan to secure the 42-28 win. The Crimson Tide defense allowed 478 yards of offense, including 382 combined yards from LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels, who had 163 rushing yards on 11 carries.

The No. 4 Crimson Tide will host SEC rival LSU Saturday, Nov. 8 as Alabama tries for its 16th-straight win at Bryant-Denny Stadium, a streak that started in a win against Ole Miss after falling to Texas Sept. 9, 2023.

Aside from a 37-yard run by Harlem Berry in the first half, Alabama's defense was dominant. LSU's offense sputtered so badly that interim coach Frank Wilson benched veteran starter Garrett Nussmeier for sophomore Michael Van Buren Jr. in the second half. Van Buren provided a brief spark, but the Tigers (5-4, 2-4 SEC) managed just 232 total yards.
