Netflix’s latest original show “The Abandons” is now streaming, a western drama that sees two rival families clash as they fight for land and power on the American frontier.

The seven-part drama is a story of survival and simmering conflict set in 1850s Washington Territory. At its core are two families on opposite ends of society: the Van Ness dynasty, led by the formidable Constance Van Ness (Gillian Anderson), a wealthy mining matriarch determined to expand her grip on silver-rich land.
