President Donald Trump downplayed China’s latest maneuvers around the island of Taiwan, casting them as a continuation of longstanding military exercises.

The exercises, called ‘Justice Mission-2025,’ will test combat readiness and the ability to block and control key ports and areas, according to China’s Eastern Theater Command.
