The Child Nutrition Services team at Five Hawks Elementary have begun to harvest their first lettuce plants from their new tower garden, according to a press release by Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools.
Fourth graders at Tower Grove Christian Academy planted vegetables at the urban garden in the Shaw neighborhood last week. The food they harvest this summer will be donated to Operation Food Search.
