PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Portland Trail Blazers have laid off employees as new owner Tom Dundon cuts costs. The exact number of employees who were let go was not made public, but they included staff in both the business and basketball operations.

The Portland Trail Blazers are mourning the loss of Hall of Fame coach Rick Adelman, one of the most influential figures in franchise history and the architect behind two NBA Finals appearances during one of the organization’s most successful eras.

Victor Wembanyama had 17 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks, and the San Antonio Spurs never trailed in eliminating the Portland Trail Blazers with a 114-95 victory in Game 5 of their Western Conference first-round playoff series.
