The House of Representatives passed President Donald Trump's "big, beautiful bill" -- the core of Trump's domestic policy agenda -- in a close vote on Thursday, resulting in continued either praise or disappointment from Virginia leaders on both sides.

The more than 1,000-page bill includes cuts to Medicaid and covers 2024 campaign tax promises, including no tax on tips and overtime wages.

The House passed Trump's massive tax and spending bill in a 218-214 vote that drew mixed reactions among leaders from the D.C. area.
