Meteorologist Jill Gilardi said it will be a bright start in the morning with a touch of light fog, then increasing cloud cover in the afternoon, as another area of low pressure approaches.

Massachusetts residents returning to work on Monday should watch out for slick roads following a bout of freezing rain Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Heavy snow is also expected across the region with portions of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, parts of Pennsylvania, and southeast New York forecast to see up to 9 inches of snow.
