NEW YORK — Millions along the Interstate 95 corridor on the Northeast coast will see their first significant winter storm of the season this weekend, as a fast-moving system takes advantage of freezing temperatures brought by another invasion of the polar vortex .
Areas in New York could see over 10 inches of snow, while other parts, like those surrounding Buffalo, could see between 1 and 4 inches, according to the National Weather Service. Peak snowfall rates could be as high as 1 to 2 inches per hour, and rates can be greater than 2 inches per hour.
