The Magpies are hopeful a full agreement to sign Elanga will be reached this weekend, with details emerging of the player Nott'm Forest wanted to sign in return

Newcastle’s tendency to attack quickly on the transition plays to Elanga’s strengths. The right-winger’s ability to dribble at a high speed while making wise decisions means he is a threat when his team wins the ball and attacks an unstructured defence.

Elanga has been identified as another target with Newcastle boss Eddie Howe eager to add more quality and depth in the final third. Last week, they submitted an opening bid in the region of £45million but it was rejected by Forest. They have since upped their offer by another £10m and their latest proposal is set to be accepted.
