The European Commission has opened an investigation into Elon Musk's X social media platform and its AI chatbot Grok over the alleged creation of sexually explicit deepfake images of women and children.
“Keir Starmer was a lot more lukewarm on his stance around regulating big tech,” said Adele Walton, a member of the nonprofit Online Safety Act Network. “The Grok scandal has really pushed him back in the direction of actually protecting vulnerable people.”
