TORONTO — The Guardians are proceeding with caution, choosing to hold José Ramírez out of their lineup for Saturday’s game against the Blue Jays one day after the All-Star third baseman was injured in an awkward play at first base during a 5-3 loss to Toronto.

José Ramírez’s right ankle is sore after the Cleveland Guardians star stumbled over first base during Friday’s loss at Toronto, but manager Stephen Vogt said the six-time All-Star third baseman wasn’t too badly injured.
