Xi will be in North Korea from 8-9 June, a rare visit to the isolated regime that is a longstanding ally of Beijing.
For the first time in seven years, Chinese leader Xi Jinping will visit Pyongyang on June 8 – closely following his separate summits with the U.S. and Russian presidents.
The visit speaks to North Korea’s rising importance among the U.S.’s biggest adversaries.
