Phoenix Ikner is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and seven counts of attempted first-degree murder.

The 20-year-old Florida State University student accused of opening fire on campus nearly a month ago is scheduled to make his first appearance in court on Tuesday at 11 a.m., according to court documents.

Phoenix police were called to a shooting at the Motel 6 near Interstate 17 and Thomas Road. Officers arrived and found a man who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police soon learned that the shooting had occurred at a different location near 27th Avenue and Indian School Road and closed off the area to investigate.

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A person is dead after a shooting at a north Phoenix hotel Sunday afternoon. Police were called to the Red Roof Inn near Interstate 17 and Bell Road around 2 p.m. for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found one person who had been shot.

Officers detained two suspected trespassers in a neighborhood near the school but a man fled, which led to the lockdown, police said.
