Former CDC Director Susan Monarez told senators that Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is seeking more changes to national vaccination policy and sought to ensure her cooperation regardless of scientific evidence.
Former CDC Director Susan Monarez and former CDC Chief Medical Officer Debra Houry were questioned by Senators today over vaccine policy under HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. NBC News’ Julie Tsirkin reports from Capitol Hill.
Monarez, who was fired after 29 days in the job, warned that once-contained diseases such as polio and whooping cough could return.
