The CPSC and Walmart have issued a voluntary recall notice for consumers to get a full refund and stop using or return the Ozark Trail water bottle immediately.

The lids on the 64-ounce stainless steel bottles can eject and strike consumers, two of whom reported permanent vision loss as a result, safety regulators said.

NEW YORK (AP) — Walmart is recalling about 850,000 stainless steel water bottles because the lid can “forcefully eject” and unexpectedly strike consumers — resulting in permanent vision loss for two people to date.
