The Flames enjoyed two first-period man advantages, and came close to breaking the deadlock with about five minutes left on the clock. First, Matt Coronato and Yegor Sharangovich found themselves in possession of the puck, behind the Nashville D, but Coronato's cross-crease pass evaded Sharangovich and skipped across to the half-wall.

BOTTOM LINE: The Calgary Flames host the Nashville Predators in Western Conference action. Calgary has a 13-5-3 record in home games and an 18-13-7 record overall. The Flames have a 5-10-3 record in games they serve more penalty minutes than their opponents.

Goals galore will be the theme for the Calgary Flames as they seek to take advantage of Justus Annunen and the Nashville Predators.
