Tennis star Elena Rybakina and coach Goran Ivanisevic have ended their partnership one day after the sixth seed’s Australian Open exit. Ivanisevic, the former coach of Novak Djokovic, joined Rybakina’s team in the pre-season after the Kazakh’s former coach Stefano Vukov was provisionally suspended amid a WTA investigation into his conduct.

Elena Rybakina is a former finalist at the Australian Open. She competed in the final in 2023 when Aryna Sabalenka won her maiden Grand Slam trophy.

Elena Rybakina and Goran Ivanisevic will not move forward with their collaboration after two tour-level events together. Ivanisevic confirmed the test phase had ended on his Instagram story Tuesday with a brief message. “After our trial period that finished with Australian Open, I wish Elena and her team the best of luck moving forward,” he wrote.
