NFL analyst Skip Bayless and known Dallas Cowboys fan made his feelings known about the team hiring Matt Eberflus as their new DC.

Once former Bears coach Matt Eberflus became Cowboys coach it seemed inevitable some Chicago assistants would follow their old boss to the Big D and two have.

The Dallas Cowboys have been busy assembling their coaching staff this January after the departure of former head coach, Mike McCarthy. His replacement, Brian Schottenheimer, appointed former Bears head coach,

Andre Curtis, Dave Borgonzi and Aaron Whitecotton are slated to work closely with DC Matt Eberflus after joining Dallas’ staff.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports the Cowboys are finalizing a deal with Eberflus to take on DC responsibilities as expected. He adds that Nick Sorensen is also nearing a deal to become the team’s new ST coordinator. Tom Pelissero of NFL Network was the first to report the latter hire was expected.

Curtis was the safeties coach in Chicago and also interviewed for the coordinator job with the Cowboys. He spent 2015-2021 as a defensive backs coach with the Seahawks and Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer was on the staff in Seattle for three of those seasons.

Dallas has also hired Nick Sorenson to serve as special teams coordinator under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer.

The Dallas Cowboys are expected to hire former Chicago Bears coach Matt Eberflus as their new defensive coordinator, a league source told UPI on Monday.

Schottenheimer and the Cowboys have named Dave Borgonzi, Aaron Whitecotton and Andre Curtis to the staff, the team announced Wednesday. All three are defensive hires. And all three new additions were greatly influenced by new Cowboys defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus . Schottenheimer, though, had final say on the hires as head coach.

The Cowboys have conducted two interviews for their OC role already, but neither of the early candidates — the Falcons’ Kevin Koger and Cardinals’ Klayton Adams — have experience in the role.
