President Donald Trump has posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist who was fatally shot last month while speaking at Utah Valley University.
President Trump said his focus now is on rebuilding Gaza, but has shared few specifics on his vision for security and governance of the enclave.
Charlie Kirk will today become the first recipient of the presidential medal of freedom in Donald Trump’s second term. In a sign of Kirk’s close ties to the White House, Mr Trump spoke at his funeral in September, calling him a “great American hero” and “martyr” for freedom.
The president says the publication “deserves to be called out” for using an unflattering image of him for its cover story about his efforts in the Middle East.
In response, Trump from November 1, the U.S. would impose a tariff of 100 percent on China, over and above any duty that they are currently paying and will enact export controls on all critical software.
