Plans for a so-called "Straight Pride Parade" in Boston are moving forward. The city on Wednesday approved a public event application from the organization Super Happy Fun America.

The organizers behind the “Straight Pride Parade” said they met with Boston city officials Wednesday and were assured that their event can take place on Aug. 31.
