FIFA, being the world football governing body, has its own litany of trophies to give out each December, placing each superstar in the spotlight for what they deem to be "The Best" in various categories over the past year.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will begin on June 11 at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, Mexico, with a matchup between host nation Mexico and Group A challenger South Africa. In 2010, South Africa became the first African nation to host a World Cup.
The 2025 Best FIFA Football Awards will be available to watch across the world, with the ceremony broadcast live on FIFA.com for free. The broadcast will begin at 12 p.m. ET (5 p.m. GMT, 9 a.m. PT).
