Bukhenik was previously disciplined in connection with the vulgar texts one of his State Police subordinates sent about Karen Read.

Embattled Sgt. Yuriy Bukhenik has been kicked out of the Norfolk DA’s office. He’s now assigned to the South Boston barracks, where he will patrol that section of the city, the State Police confirmed Monday.

Yuri Bukhenik has been transferred to the Division of Standards and Training on a “temporary duty assignment,” a State Police spokesman said.
