A record crowd for a regular-season Major League Baseball game got to see all the pomp and pageantry with the MLB Speedway Classic before the rain washed out the game itself in the bottom of the first inning.

Rain forced the suspension of MLB's first-ever game played at a NASCAR track. Play is scheduled to resume at 1 p.m. ET at Bristol Motor Speedway.

When the Speedway Classic resumes Sunday, the Reds will have Matt McLain at second and Elly De La Cruz at first, and Miguel Andujar at the plate with one out. Cincinnati leads the game 1-0 on an Austin Hays RBI single ( GameTracker ).
