Sheriff’s officials were warning the public Saturday to be on the lookout for a possibly live grenade — one of two that were found at a Santa Monica apartment building storage unit last week, after the other one detonated the following day in East Los Angeles, killing three sheriff’s detectives.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department warned the public Friday about a possibly live grenade that has gone missing after an explosion last week near Monterey Park that killed three LASD detectives.
