If the sequel system is stronger than the original Switch, some recent gems could make their way to the console

The original Switch came out in March of 2017 with a $299 price tag. Leaks and rumors suggest the Switch 2 could release in June of 2025. The price will likely fall somewhere between $399 and $499 USD.

With the Nintendo Switch 2 launching this year, a long-speculated, much anticipated launch title seems more likely than ever.

The Switch 2 might not be a radical reinvention of what came before, but Nintendo’s new hardware does sport some unique quirks, distinguishing it from the original handheld hybrid that arrived back in 2017.

Just like Nintendo has not yet announced the release date and retail price, the video game company hasn’t revealed where it will sell the new console. Nintendo may have officially unveiled the Nintendo Switch 2 last week, but not everything was revealed during that announcement. While we know the new console is coming at some point in 2025, we still don't know when.

A retail listing from Newegg may have leaked two Switch 2 games. A new 3D Super Mario and a Zelda remake are rumored for Switch 2 by the end of the year. The only Nintendo-published game confirmed for Switch 2 at this time is a new Mario Kart.
