The Albarn-led group eventually nabbed the No. 1 spot on the U.K. Singles Chart.

The pioneering Britpop band’s world tour — marking the first time famously feuding brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher have played together since 2009 — kicked off on Friday night in Cardiff, Wales, at Principality Stadium. Richard Ashcroft from the Verve was the opening act, alongside Liverpool-based band Cast.
