Joonas Korpisalo made 29 saves against his former team and the Boston Bruins beat the Ottawa Senators 2-0 on Thursday night.

For the second-last time this season, the Boston Bruins (24-20-6) battled the Ottawa Senators (24-20-4) in a pivotal divisional matchup that may have large playoff implications later down the line.

David Pastrnak had a goal and an assist for the Bruins (24-20-6), who are 4-1-1 in their past six games. Pastrnak has 19 points (10 goals, nine assists) in the past 11 games.

The Bruins may not be the most talented bunch and the direction of the organization is still very much up in the air. But whether the “blow-it-up” portion of the fan base likes it or not, the players are not abut to lay own on the season.

Boston Bruins bounced back in a big way against the Ottawa Senators on Jan. 23. The Bruins defeated their division rival by a 2-0 final score and have jumped up from sixth place to third place in the Atlantic Division.
