CHICAGO -- Rick Bowness has gotten the Columbus Blue Jackets back on track. Since replacing Dean Evason as coach on Jan. 12, Columbus has gone 7-1-0 under Bowness, and one key reason for that has been because of what the 71-year-old has been able to instill in his new team: confidence.

Coyle has five points (two goals, three assists) in his past two games, and Columbus is 6-1-0 under Bowness, who replaced the fired Dan Evason on Jan. 12. Friday's probable starter in goal, Jet Greaves, would make his first career start against Chicago.

The Columbus Blue Jackets and Chicago Blackhawks hit the ice in NHL action at United Center on Friday, Jan. 30 at 8:30 p.m. ET. The matchup airs on NHL Network. Columbus claimed a 5-3 victory at home its last time out on Jan.

After dodging injury scares earlier this week, the St. Louis Blues should be closer to full strength when they host the streaking Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night.
