Drones attack one of Russia's largest oil refineries: explosions and fire reported
Drones attacked the Russian city of Yaroslavl, located north-east of Moscow, more than 700 kilometres from the state border with Ukraine, on the night of 11-12 December. The strike caused a fire at the local oil refinery.
A Ukrainian drone strike ignited a major fire at Russia’s Afipsky oil refinery in Krasnodar, while additional attacks hit a military aviation plant and two “shadow fleet” tankers in the Black Sea. Ukraine says the strikes targeted key logistics hubs supplying Russian frontline operations.

Russia attacked two Ukrainian ports on Friday, damaging three Turkish-owned vessels including a ship carrying food supplies, Ukrainian officials and one ship owner said, days after Moscow threatened to cut "Ukraine off from the sea".
As reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this is one of the largest refineries of the occupants, which is capable of processing from 15 million tons of oil and oil condensate per year. It is involved in supplying the armed forces of the Russian invaders.
Two sanctioned oil tankers, the Kairos and the Virat, have caught fire in the Black Sea a few dozen nautical miles off the Turkish coast. Their crews are safe as the causes of the explosions are being investigated.
