Pro Bowl receiver Chris Godwin is a free agent, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have no desire to see him walk out the door.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are working toward a new contract for wide receiver Chris Godwin as general manager Jason Licht and head coach Todd Bowles rained praise on him when speaking to reporters at the scouting combine Tuesday in Indianapolis.

When he and Mike Evans were on the field, the Bucs' offense, led by Baker Mayfield, was superb. Now, with a new offensive coordinator in Josh Grizzard, many expect the offense to run similarly but with a few wrinkles. And yes, we imagine that Grizzard wants Godwin to be part of his unit.
