Wadsworth grew up in Anderson, Calif., population just-under 12,000, in Shasta County in the northern part of the state. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1981. After that, Wadsworth went to a trade school in Arizona before relocating to Charlotte and finding a home in NASCAR.
