El Salvador released 200 Venezuelans held in a notorious prison in exchange for Venezuela freeing 10 American nationals and multiple political prisoners.

Over 200 Venezuelans who were deported from the United States on allegations of gang membership earlier this year and detained in an El Salvador jail arrived home to Caracas on Friday (July 19) as part of a coordinated prisoner exchange. Ten Americans held in Venezuela returned to the United States, officials said. Olivia Zollino reports.
