The 27-year-old shooter is dead and three officers are injured following an early morning shooting at a CBP station in McAllen, Texas

As Border Patrol agents and federal immigration officers continue to be targeted for violence, two targeted attacks occurred in Texas within a few days, resulting in local police officers being shot.

Authorities suspect the attack was a deliberate ambush of immigration enforcement officials.
