Maverick director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer are reuniting to develop a new UFO conspiracy thriller, raising questions about what will happen with the in-development Top Gun 3. According to The Hollywood Reporter,

The mysterious project hails from a script penned by screenwriter Zach Baylin (“King Richard,” “Creed III,” “The Order”) and is being compared to the political thriller “All The President’s Men.”

Former US Air Force intelligence officer and whistleblower David Grusch, who made headlines in 2023 when he claimed the US government had been secretly studying alien spacecraft and suppressing leaks, is on board as a consultant. Zach Baylin, who wrote the Will Smith-led King Richard, penned the script.
