Daniil Medvedev's exuberant celebration after beating Arthur Fils was not his normal reaction to winning a tennis match.

Medvedev was dragged into a decider by Fils, but eventually came through in a thrilling finale. And the Russian was in buoyant mood after booking his spot in the last four.

Holger Rune seems to like the conditions at Indian Wells very much and has played a great tournament so far, but he has no intention of stopping there. The young Dane – who has had several problems in recent seasons and has moved away from the top positions of the ATP ranking – has not forgotten how tennis is played and reached the semifinals in California.

The match between Daniil Medvedev and Arthur Fils in the quarterfinals of the Indian Wells Masters 1000 was one of the best of the entire season so far. The Russian ace has not found his best tennis yet, but he is on his way to returning to the highest level and has started to fight again on every single point as in the past.
